Lady Bulldogs now 4-1

The Wortham Lady Bulldogs improved their district record to 4-1 with wins over Coolidge, Hubbard and Trinidad over the past 10 days. Wortham beat Coolidge in three sets, 25-9, 25-13, 25-10 in their match on Sept. 21.

On Sept. 24, the Lady Bulldogs beat Hubbard in a back and forth match, 10-25, 25-22, 25-18, 23-25, 16-14.

Elisha Libhart had 14 kills and a block, Kiera Busby had 10 kills and four blocks, Hannah McCord had eight kills and a block and Camey Shaffer finished with four kills and eight blocks in Worthams defensive effort to finish off the Lady Jaguars. Kendle Rhodes led Wortham with 21 assists and Sara Sessions had 21 digs.
