Stop signs, contracts up before county commissioners

County Commissioners will consider agreements with other jurisdictions and adding stop signs to a county road when they meet Monday morning.

The agenda for the meeting includes setting a public hearing and posting notice about stop signs on LCR 462. That road zig-zags east from Hwy. 14 south of Forest Glade nearly to FM 39 near Shiloh. The agenda doesn’t state where the signs would be either erected or removed.

Commissioners will look into agreements and contracts with the 77th Judicial District and Anderson County, for the detention of juvenile offenders. They will also consider an agreement to reimburse for mental health counseling services with a party not named in the agenda, and to consider an interlocal agreement between Limestone and Lubbock counties to have a regional public defender for capital (death-penalty) cases.
