Tyler Wade Archibald

Our loving Tyler Wade Archibald, 32, passed on to eternal life, having succumbed in his lengthy, courageous fight against a wretch­ed disease on Dec. 1, 2013, at Baylor Hospital in Dallas.
He fought his battle with courage, humanity, grace and dignity. Our hearts are heavy with the loss of our precious Tyler. We pray for him and that a cure for the deadly disease will be close at hand.
Tyler was born Sept. 7, 1981, in Big Springs.
He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. He loved life and lived every day positively. Golf was his passion and he loved all sports.
He enjoyed the outdoors and being with his family and friends.
He is survived by the love of his life, Cinnamon Arch­ibald, and his proudest ac­com­plishment, his son, Aus­tin Wade Archibald and children Kristin Shaw and Preston Long; mother, Chris­tie Arch­ibald of Mexia; fa­ther, Robert Archibald Jr. and wife Maria of Florida; brothers, Chadwick Archibald and wife Debora of Heath, and Jason Arch­ibald and wife Heather of San Angelo; sisters, Jennifer and Jessica Arch­ibald of Flor­ida; in-laws were Louis Quinn of Chandler, N.C. and Mary Al­ice Quinn of Fairfield; grand­parents, Frances Daniell of Me­­xia and Robert Imogene Archibald of Mexia and many aunts, uncles, nieces, neph­ews and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by grandfather, O.R. Daniell; grandmother, Betty Arch­i­bald and uncle, Joe Daniell.
Visitation was held at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home in Fairfield on Wed­nes­day, Dec. 4. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, at First Baptist Church in Mexia with Marcus Shef­field officiating. Burial will follow at Mexia Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a medical fund for Tyler Archibald at Incommons Bank.
