Larry LaRue, 60, of Mexia, went home to Heaven on Dec. 9, 2013.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, at Blair-Stubbs Chapel, with the Rev. Marcus Sheffield officiating.
Larry was born June 22, 1953, in Mexia, to Henry and Virginia LaRue.
He was a near lifelong resident of Mexia, graduating from Mexia High School in 1972. Larry was a graduate of TSTC in Waco and a former school board member of Mexia ISD. Some of his favorite past times were team roping, bulldogging and fishing, as well as supporting the students and athletes of Mexia ISD.
Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Chrisner LaRue.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Cleshay LaRue; son Laramie LaRue; father Henry LaRue; sister Elaine Schulte and husband Bill, of Mexia; nephews Blaine, Bruce and Bill; niece Belinda; and great-nieces Brittany, Bethany and Brandie. He is also survived by a special son, Jose “Pepe” Contreras.
