Margaret 'Margie' M. Spillers

A celebration of the life of Margaret "Margie" M. Spillers, 79, of Flint is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, March 15, at Westwood Baptist Church of Tyler, with Tom Crawford officiating
Margaret went to be with her Lord and savior on March 2, 2014.
Margaret was born Feb. 7, 1935 in Clark Fork Township, Mo., the daughter of John and Elsie Martin. She was raised by her stepmother, Minnie Martin, and paternal grandmother, Mattie Margaret Martin. She was raised in the Lutheran church, attending catechism classes as an expression of her faith. She owned several restaurants in East Texas. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, taking care of her family and doting on her grandsons.
Margaret was preceded in death by her father and stepmother, John and Minnie Martin; mother, Elsie Martin; brother, Bob Martin; and sister, Betty Louise Schoen.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, B.R. Spillers; sons, Gary Brown, of Columbia, Mo., Larry Brown, of Columbia, Mo., Bobby Spillers Jr. and wife Sara, of of Flint; grandsons, Jamin Spillers and Jacob Spillers; sisters, Sharon Infinger, Joan McClure and Mary Ann Walters; brothers, Ken Martin and wife Melva, and Gene Martin; numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews; and best friend and sister-in-law, Marguerite Spillers.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Margaret Spillers.
