Lance Alan Duncan

Lance Alan Duncan, 32, of Lake Mexia, passed away March 31, 2014 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 3, at 4 p.m. at First Baptist Church, with Rev. Marcus Sheffield officiating. Interment will follow at Mexia Cemetery. Family visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Lance was born March 19, 1982 in Ardmore, Okla. to Richard and Tommie Lu Nabors Duncan. He had been employed for 12 years as an insurance agent and realtor at his father’s business, Mexia Insurance Service.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Joyce A. Duncan; nephew, Gabriel Brokmeyer and his best friend, Tyler Archibald.
Survivors include his wife, Jaclyn Duncan; sons, Weston Lane Duncan and Cade Alan Duncan; parents, Richard and Tommie Lu Duncan; sister, Amanda Heiner and husband, Matt; nephew, Luke Heiner; niece, Scarlett Heiner; grandparents, Albert and Billie Nabors; mother-in-law, Barbara Boren; father-in-law, Roger Garrett; grandmother-in-law, Sally Mitchell; sister-in-law, Kimberly Brokmeyer and husband, Andy; nephew, Samuel Brokmeyer, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Serving as pallbearers are Kent Vest, Russell Henderson, Shane Turner, Kevin Nabors, Randy Ratliff, Derek Brubaker, Andy Brokmeyer, Cole Master, Kyle Smith and Brandon Caraway. Honorary pallbearers are Bert Harrison, Ronnie Masters, Jon Masters, Pete Masters and Kevin Vest.
