County buys lawnmowers for prison

County commissioners called a special meeting last week to consider buying lawnmowers for the Limestone County Detention Center, the county-owned private prison.
After a brief discussion, the court agreed to buy:
• A zero-turn 62-inch mower for $6,100.
• Two push mowers for $199 each.
• Two commercial-grade Weedeaters for $251 each.
• A commercial-grade leaf blower for $405.
