Wortham bests Mexia in volleyball opener

By Mike Eddleman
An experienced Wortham volleyball squad took advantage of a Mexia squad facing a steep learning curve Tuesday, cruising to a three-game win at home.
The (10-25, 18-25, 6-25) victory for Wortham was the first match of the season for both teams and the first at Mexia for new coach Kamol Nohe.
“We're still working to get our heads where they need to be,” Nohe said of his squad. “We don't have the court sense we need and we made a lot of errors tonight. We gave them a lot of points and it is hard to win when that happens.”
On the other side of the court, the experience showed for the Lady Bulldogs.
