Teague Lions upset win in OT

The Teague Lions battled back from being down by nine with 1:54 left in the game to move to within one of Palestine Westwood, 60-59, when Tyrese Heard was fouled with 1.1 seconds remaining in regulation. Heard sank one of two free throws to send the game into overtime Tuesday evening, where the Lions outscored the Panthers in the OT, 12-9, to end district play undefeated with the 72-69 win.
Heard ended up blazing the trail for the Lions in the scoring department, finishing with 26 points – eight of those coming from the charity stripe, including the one that sent the game into overtime.
Teague started out with a 17-12 lead at the end of one, but Westwood turned up their play by outscoring the Lions in the second period, 19-7, to hold a 31-24 advantage at the half.
