Dear Editor,
Because of the communities’ kindness and support during the loss the of our brother, Mckenzie Jackson, we wanted to send “A Note of Thanks.”
Sincerely,
Cornetta J. Smith

Dear Editor,
In honor of McKenzie Jackson’s life and legacy, and on behalf of the entire Jackson Family, we say thank you for your great outpouring of love, support and contributions. Celebration services were held March 31, Wake from 6-8 p.m. at Moore’s Angelic Funeral Home, 406 Monroe St., Teague. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 1, 12:30 p.m. at Grove Island AME Church, Mexia.
Due to a severe stroke, McKenzie had been away from the community for almost five years, living in the home with Billye and Verna Jackson, in Balch Springs. You, (community members and friends) continued to inquire of his health status and well being. You always, said, “Be sure and tell McKenzie hello.”
As often as possible, Billye and Verna would bring him back to the communities. He loved Freestone and Limestone Counties, especially Teague, Mexia and surrounding areas.
Again, thank you. Your kindness is greatly appreciated and will always be remembered.
May the Lord’s blessings rest upon you always.
Sincerely,
Billye and Verna Jackson
Dayton and Cornetta Jackson Smith and
the rest of the entire Jackson family
