An unmatched season

For the most part, one might think pulling off a baseball season where a team finishes 21-2 in the regular season and then goes undefeated in back-to-back tournaments - one being a state championship tourney - would have been a piece of cake with a squad that strictly concentrates on baseball and
nothing else.
However, it’s not as easy as it seems, especially when the team members are still in high school and hold down jobs during the day/night and sometimes weekends.
Practices can be a nightmare trying to get everyone together, much less on game day.
But for a group of high school baseball players from Mexia, Wortham and a few points in between, and despite the setbacks of everyday life, they banded together for one heck of a season this summer, not to mention earning a championship crown in the process.
