An elderly Daingerfield woman, Setsuko Lee, went missing on July 18 only to be located with the help of administrative assistant Katy Callis of the Department of Public Safety office in Groesbeck.
Setsuko Lee, a septuagenarian, had been living her life independently, in Daingerfield, about 135 miles east of Dallas. She resides with her adult son, who has Asperger’s syndrome, and another renter in the same home. Lee’s son is her only family relative, but she has developed, over the years, a network of friends who deeply care about her.
Lee offers rides to people when they needed them. So, when a friend of hers asked for a ride to Dallas Love Field Airport, a 142 mile trip one way, it was not unusual and did not trigger any worries with her friends.
