New code enforcement officer has plenty to do

Mexia has a new code enforcement officer: Bruce Glover, formerly of Spring, who takes the place of Ron Capehart, who retired.
Glover addressed the Rotary Club of Mexia, where he spoke about his new position after being on the job since May.
Some of his experience includes working as the fire chief, building official, emergency management coordinator and code enforcement officer for the city of Galena Park. He also worked for the city of Sugar Land, as a firefighter and engineer.
“I’ve been in the fire and EMS business, emergency management, code enforcement, fire inspection and fire investigation the majority of my life,” Glover said.
Glover and his wife wanted to get out of Houston, and they had property in Robertson County, but they chose Lake Limestone because of the charm of living on a lake.
