Game opponents change due to Hurricane Harvey

The start of the 2017 Texas high school football season has officially begun!
Area schools hit the field tonight and throughout the weekend, some opening play against a different opponent than originally scheduled, while others visit new digs at recently remodeled stadiums.
According to a list of cancellations and reschedules - due to Hurricane Harvey - tweeted by Texas Football, the Teague Lions were scheduled to host the Caldwell Hornets Friday night, but will end up playing against the Madisonville Mustangs in Madisonville instead. Madisonville was originally scheduled to host Diboll this Friday night.
The Mexia Blackcats travel to Athens for tomorrow evening’s season opener to play the Hornets.
