The Wortham Lady Bulldogs keep rolling right along in district competition, moving to 4-0 on the season after sweeping district foe Riesel in three sets, 25-2, 25-1, 25-4.
As in most matches, the Lady Bulldogs tend to do most of their damage with hard play at the net that results in a ton of kill shots and on defense, with the back court collecting numerous digs.
However, in Saturday’s sweep, it was all done at the service line with the Lady Bulldogs putting up an astounding 46 aces.
Kayla Lansford led the way with 23 aces, Jayde Hamilton - team leader in assists - finished with 19 aces, libero Hallie Fautt served up two, as did setter Darcy Taylor (2).
