Penny Gray, Limestone County Judge Daniel Burkeen’s appointed County Fairgrounds committee leader, reported the progress on what had been accomplished and other plans the committee hopes to implement.
She made the report at the court’s Sept. 26 meeting, first noting that she had formed a subcommittee of about five from the original committee of about 10.
“I took the liberty of forming a subcommittee out of that because I’ve always been able to work with a smaller group of people,” she told the court.
As for the projects already accomplished, Gray first noted the contractors building the two dressing rooms are on schedule to begin construction around the end of October. Gray thanked Groesbeck’s Citizens State Bank and Farmers State Bank for underwriting the project.
