Lady Bulldogs looking for the baker’s dozen

With the win this past Tuesday, the Wortham Lady Bulldogs upped their sweep total to an even dozen and improved their district record to 10-0.
Wortham put away the Axtell Lady Longhorns for the second time this season in three sets, 25-14, 25-15, 25-15.
Offensive leaders for the Lady Bulldogs were Kayla Lansford and Ashley Mao. Lansford led the team in kills with 14 and she record seven digs, five aces and a blocked shot in the win effort. Mao had six kills and two blocks at the net.
Setter Jayde Hamilton finished the match with 11 assists, five aces, four digs and two kills, Skylar Phillips chipped in four assists and played strong in the front court with three kills and two blocks.
Rylee Goolsby ended the match win with four kills, two blocks and an ace at the service line.
