By Roxanne Thompson

Women in Limestone County with an unplanned pregnancy have a place to go for help without leaving the county.
Center for Hope is located outside Mexia, near Tehuacana, and offers a variety of services, all free: pregnancy tests, pregnancy decision coaching by trained advocates, material resources like baby clothing, diapers, wipes and other needful items. post-decision support, no matter what the choice is, and independent living classes. Off-site services like sonograms are also available on a limited basis through a facility in Waco.
Center for Hope is an affiliate of CareNet, a national pregnancy resource organization that provides help and encouragement for women – and men – facing difficult decisions because of an unintended pregnancy.
Gael McKiever, with the Center for Hope, spoke to the Woman’s Friday Club, of Mexia, recently on the facility. She is on the governing board of the Center, which is located outside Mexia on Tehuacana Valley Road.
