Limestone County commissioners have a full agenda for their upcoming meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 12, starting with a donation for the County Fairgrounds. The court will also continue to flesh out budget details, make decisions for the Nov. 7 Constitutional Amendment Election, approve minor salary adjustments as well as agreements to hold overflow inmates from other counties and make other needful decisions.
As for the donation, the court will formally accept the funds from longtime Fairgrounds supporters Arnold and Penny Gray, which will mark the third significant donation to the facility in the past four weeks.
Also at the meeting, the commissioners will hold one more budget workshop as they try to finalize precise amounts to allocate for different budget lines before the final vote, scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 26.
In other matters, the court will make several decisions concerning the Nov. 7 election, including where and how early voting will take place, the times and dates of early voting, whether to consolidate precincts; also methods of voting, appointment of presiding judges, how much to pay election workers and how much to pay for using a public building.
