Homecoming for 2017 had a happy ending for Coolidge Friday night at the Yellow Jacket Sports Complex with a win over the visiting Kopperl Eagles by a final of 54-8. This final tune up before district play was the most complete game of the season for the “Jackets.”
Coach Wayne Ware of Coolidge praised his offensive line of Colton Carter, Colby Casarez and Manuel
Rivera for their blocking and hard work in practice this week.
It was nice to see the stands full of ex-students and the entire community.
The 2017-18 homecoming queen was Natalie Herrera and the king was Cole
Kutscherousky.
The game began with Coolidge receiving the opening kick and then scoring on the first play from scrimmage on a 49-yard run by Torrey Hoover.
