Wortham suffers to Wildcats, 48-20

The Wortham Bulldogs suffered a heartbreaking 48-20 loss to the Mount Enterprise Wildcats last Friday night.
The loss drops the Bulldogs (4-4) to 0-3 in District 11-2A, tied with Overton (0-8, 0-3) for the No. 5 spot, while Tenaha and Timpson are both 3-0, tied for first. The Wildcats (3-5) move into the No. 3 spot at 2-1 and Grapeland (4-4) sits in the No. 4 seat at 1-2, with two games remaining in district play.
Wortham managed 291 yards of total offense against Mount Enterprise last Friday, giving up 473 total yards to the Wildcats and 33 first downs.
The Bulldogs out passed the Wildcats 86-32.
Running back Stephon Ester led Wortham in rushing, carrying 20 times for 215 yards and a touchdown.
