Rotary chili during parade night

This Thursday, on the night of Mexia’s Christmas parade, attendees are encouraged to drop by Rotary Hall and get a bowl of chili to warm up for the evening.
The Rotary Club of Mexia is holding the Christmas Chili Supper on Thursday, Nov. 30, 5-8 p.m. at Rotary Hall, 315 E. Commerce Street.
Temperatures are expected to be in the 60s at parade time but will dip into the 40s that night, so a good bowl of chili may just hit the spot.
Top notch Mexia restaurant Joe Friday’s Diner is catering the chili, courtesy of Rotarian and chef extraordinaire Stephen Friday.
The Mexia Rotarians hold the event each year, not only as a fundraiser for their community projects, but also to promote friendliness and fellowship.
