Willie Mae Walker Sutton

Willie Mae Walker Sutton was born in Limestone County on May 3, 1960, to the parents of Shug Walker and Beulah Randle.

She attended Coolidge High School. Willie Mae met her husband Lawrence Sutton on May 15, 1985, and to this union four kids were born, three sons and one daughter.

She worked in the medical field as a Certified Nurse’s Aide for over 35 years.

Willie Mae was a member of Mustang Baptist Church in Prairie Hill until God called her home to be with Him.   

She passed away on July 26, 2019, in her loving sister’s home amongst family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, five brothers and three sisters.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Lawrence Sutton; sons, Gregory (Coretta) Walker of Arlington, Tony (Christy) Walker of Corsicana, Kevin Walker of Coolidge; daughter, Dollie Renee Walker of Hillsboro;  eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a loving mother, Ms. Beulah Walker;  sisters, Sue (James) Carr, Dorothy (Robert) Kinney, Grace (Billy) Thomas, Ruby (Howard) William; brothers, Edward Lee (Brenda) Walker and Dene Ray Walker; Special niece, Sonia Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Service and arrangements entrusted to Pearly Gates Funeral Home.  Service to be held at 1 p.m. Aug. 3 at St. James Primitive Baptist Church of Coolidge.
