Mexia ISD administrators decided late Wednesday morning to close all schools Thursday and Friday, Jan.13-14, in an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 locally.
It looks as though Mexia will drop to Class 3A in the University Interscholastic League’s (UIL) realignment in February, according to preliminary cutoff numbers announced by the UIL on Wednesday.
