Ladycats top Teague 46-29
In a battle for second place in District 20-3A, Region 3, the Mexia Ladycats basketball team prevailed over the visiting Teague Lady Lions on Tuesday, Jan. 7. Mexia moved to 4-1 in district play by virtue of a 46-29 win. As for Teague, they drop to third in the district with a mark of 3-2.
Mexia pulls away from Teague, beats Lions 69-41 to stay undefeated in district
The seventh-ranked Mexia Blackcats basketball team moved to 4-0 in District 20-3A, Region 3 on Tuesday, Jan. 7. They defeated the visiting Teague Lions 69-41 at The Dungeon. Meanwhile, Teague remains winless in district play at 0-3.
Wortham wins decisively over Dawson 66-40
The Wortham Bulldogs basketball team earned a 66-40 home win over Dawson on Tuesday, Jan. 7. The victory moves Wortham’s district record to 2-2, good for third place in District 18-2A, Division 3.
