The Mexia ISD school board voted unanimously on Monday to hire Triston Abron as the next head football coach and athletic director for the Blackcats.
The Mexia ISD school board is expected to name Triston Abron as the head football coach and athletic director at a special meeting at 6 p.m. Monday at the MISD Administration Building.
The Mexia football team will be in a smaller district, but will spend more time on the road over the next two years, according to the UIL district realignment which was announced this morning.
