Jonathan Hardin Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution met on Wednesday, Dec. 4, at Gibbs Library in Mexia for our regular meeting. We were honored to recognize Good Citizens from the senior class of six of the high schools in Limestone and Freestone counties that chose to participate.
Limestone County Master Gardeners kicked off the new year with the installation of their 2025 officers. During a special ceremony, Linda Valls, the immediate past president, stepped forward to conduct the official induction, ushering in a new leadership team dedicated to advancing the organization’s mission.
Mexia police arrested Luis Rodriguez, 32, at his home in the 700 block of Liberty Street on charges of harassing both a neighbor and a public servant Tuesday, Feb. 4.
