This week at Mexia LTC we started our week playing horseshoes on Monday morning. Residents enjoyed playing bingo on Monday afternoon. Residents played bean bag toss on Tuesday morning and rang in the New Year with a New Year’s Eve party that afternoon. Residents will enjoy their Bible group with Bob Kersten on Wednesday morning. Residents wish everyone a very Happy New Year! Residents will have bowling on Thursday morning and play bingo that afternoon. Residents will enjoy getting manicures on Friday morning and play bingo that afternoon. Residents will have worship services on Sunday morning with Bob Kersten and enjoy Church services either online or on TV.
More than any other time of the year, people are given to superstitious thought when a new one rolls around. People who ordinarily would dismiss superstitions as ridiculous, wholeheartedly embrace them on the countdown to the next year. Who hasn’t heard of eating black-eyed peas and done so to herald the new year?
