Nicolas Contreras Lerma, of Mexia, passed away March 11, 2020, in Waco, at the age of 54. Graveside services will be held at noon Sunday, March 15, in the Mexia Cemetery with Brother Jose Elias Yepiz and Brother Rosa Maria Yepiz officiating. Noe Placios, Jose Contreras, Alfredo Contreras, Jesse Saucedo, Eladio Yepez and Armando Rodriguez will serve as pallbearers.
Jeremy David Ray, 35, of Mexia, passed away on Febr. 20, 2020, at Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia. A memorial service was held on Sunday, Feb. 23, at Jones Funeral Services Chapel in Mexia, with Bro. Rick Washington officiating. The family received friends before the service.
Kimberly Stephens Villar, age 33 of Round Rock, passed away on Feb. 20, 2020.
Marion Estelle Thomas Kegans, 89, went home to be with the Lord on Feb. 26, 2020.
William Douglas “Doug” Hooks Jr., 72, of Mexia, passed away on Feb. 19, 2020, at Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia, after a lengthy heart illness. A memorial service was held on Saturday, Feb. 22, at First Baptist Church of Mexia, with the Rev. Marcus Sheffield officiating. The family received friends before the time of the service.
