David “Dave” Carl Wyatt, 72, passed away Thursday, Mar. 28, at his home in Wortham with his two sisters Felicetta, Charlotte, and nephew Richard by his side.

David was born Oct. 24, 1951, in East Meadow New York, to Henry Edward Sr. and Soccarsa Ceglia Wyatt.

David served his country honorably as a U. S. Marine during the Vietnam War. After his service in the military David found joy in driving a truck for Swift.

David was the light of the party, always loved to have a good time and enjoyed his family and friends. He loved to cook and was a good cook known for making a mean meatball. David also loved to eat and really loved his Italian food. David is survived by his two sons, Cory and Steven Wyatt, and one daughter Kristina Wyatt; sisters Felicetta Rocha and Charlotte Richardson; brother Henry Edward Wyatt Jr., and numerous nephews nieces and cousins.

The family will be celebrating David’s memory with a Memorial Mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the date and time to be determined later.

The family would like to acknowledge with grateful appreciation the excellent care and guidance received from the Gentle Transitions Hospice team and a big thank you to Nurse Rhonda Machac for your professional care of David.
