Fannie “Mae” Baldree entered her heavenly home on August 5, 2018, at the age of 79. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 8, at Temple Baptist Church with Brother James Hooper and Brother Michael Vestal officiating. Interment will follow in the New Hope Cemetery. Mark Macal, Walt Holt, Shane Melton, James Sandifer, Trey Holt and Mitch Holt will serve as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home.

Mae was born March 5, 1939, in the New Hope Community (Limestone County) to Rufus and Gertrude Mc-Coslin Wright. She began her working career as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell and Gulf States, then worked for several years at J.C. Penney’s, First National Bank and retired from the Mexia State School.

Mae married Bobby D. Baldree on June 20, 1958, in Groesbeck, and they were blessed with four daughters, Rhonda, Connie, Saundra and Kelli. She was devoted to serving the Lord, taking care of her family and helping others. Mae loved being surrounded by her family, especially, her grandchildren.

Mae, although a very gracious lady, had a great sense of humor and enjoyed nothing more than sharing a good story or joke with family and friends. She also loved to sing (alto) and sang on KBUS Radio Station, back in the days, when there was a radio station in Mexia. She served as a prayer warrior for many years. Mae was always up for their next adventure, wherever the Lord led Bobby in his ministry, she was ready. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Hearne.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Rhonda Kay Baldree; and sisters, Juanita Chandler and Betty Jean Craig.

Mae is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Bobby Baldreee of Hearne; daughters, Connie Macal and husband Mark of Temple, Saundra Easterling of Hearne and Kelli Holt and husband Walton of College Station; grandchildren, Shane Melton, Leah Melton, Kallie Hubnik, Lawson Macal, Annie Macal, Trey Holt and Mitch Holt.
