FREDRICK LEE REAGAN

Fredrick Lee Reagan was born on April 1, 1940, to parents J.C. Reagan Jr. and Christine Neyland Reagan. He entered eternal life on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022, at his home in Coal Branch at the age of 81 years.

Fred was raised in Bald Prairie and was a 1958 graduate of Franklin High School. He also was a graduate of Sam Houston State University. He served his country through the Army Reserves and married his loving wife, Patricia Blair, on Jan. 26, 1963, in Franklin.

His heart was always in Bald Prairie no matter where life took him. He was employed with Dresser Industries for 24 years before his retirement. After retiring, he began teaching at Mexia Junior High School and considered it his second career. He was also a life-long rancher.

He was an avid gardener and had a love for rockhounding. Reagan was a member of the Church of Christ faith.

He is preceded in death by his Parents, J.C. Reagan Jr. and Christine Reagan; brother, Joe Glenn Reagan and sister, Emma Reagan.

Fred is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patricia Reagan of Coal Branch Community; daughter and son-in-law, Patti and Richard Myrick of Coal Branch Community; son and daughter-in-law, John and Lauren Reagan of Stranger; brother, Erwin Reagan of Marquez; two grandchildren: Reece AnnLee and Samantha Blair. He is also survived by a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.

A memorial service was conducted at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, at McCauley Funeral Home chapel in Franklin. Ken Neyland will officiate. A visitation was held prior to services at the funeral home.

The family of Fredrick Reagan would like to express a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Providence Hospice and his caregivers.
