Jean Tucker Feix

Jean Tucker Feix passed away Aug. 12, 2018, in Fairfield at the age of 82.

Jean was born April 16, 1936, in Corbet (Navarro County) to William Hashler and Zettie Price Hanson Tucker, the youngest of five children. She was an LVN and her career in nursing spanned 42 years; she retired from Mexia State School. She loved nursing and caring for children and the handicapped.

Jean married Paul Madison Feix on Nov. 26, 1994. She enjoyed being at home, working in the yard and growing flowers – her favorite flowers were tulips and pansies.

She loved being a member of the Presbyterian Church and loved her church family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Zettie Tucker; hubband, Paul Feix; son, Tony McCulloch; sisters, Olivett Parker and Sara Stanley; and brothers, W.H. “Billy Boy” Tucker Jr. and Shell Tucker.

Jean is survived by a son, Chris McCulloch and wife, Tammy; grandchil-dren, Jackson, Kirkland and Alexander McCulloch and Jackqueline Dil-lon; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, at Blair-Stubbs Chapel in Mexia, with pastor Glenn McGuire officiating. Interment was in Mex-ia Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jack Jordan, Jess Whisler, Patrick Nemons, Alden Garber, Matt Kuehn and Courtney Spivey.
