Kolbi Rein Roberts

“But Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.’” Matthew 19:14 Heaven’s gain was our loss when our angel was called home by our Lord. Kolbi Rein Roberts passed on from this life and into the arms of Jesus on February 21st, 2024, before her birth. Born Thursday, Feb. 22, at 2:27 a.m., she was 39 weeks’ gestation. We miss her with every piece of our heart. Kolbi is survived by her parents, Hayley Bell and Cole Roberts; two sisters, JoLee and PecasRoberts;maternalgrandparents, Brandon and Jennifer Lewis; paternal grandparents, Michael and Christina Roberts; and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be from 5 to 7p.m., Tuesday, February, at Lake Shore Funeral Home. There will be a graveside service for immediate family Wednesday, Feb. 28, at 2 p.m. in Mexia.

“I carried you every second of your life and will love you every second of mine.” Kolbi has taught people to forgive, heal, and to trust in the Lord. Looking at her, it was so, so hard to understand why. Why she had to go. What was wrong. What caused this. Why is all of this happening. In the midst of this pain and sorrow, we have put our trust in the Lord. For reasons we do not understand, God was ready for our sweet Kolbi. She will never know sadness and pain. All she knows is the love of her mother, and Kolbi is filled with joy and love from our Lord and savior. Although we have the most beautiful perfect guardian angel, our hearts will forever have a piece missing. No amount of words could ever describe the love we have for our sweet Kolbi and how deeply we miss her every single day. Sometimes, it’s the smallest things that take up the most room in our hearts. “Dearest baby, please know that our greatest blessing was having you.”. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we prepare for Kolbi’s funeral, coming to terms with our lives here without her.

We would like to sincerely thank Dr. Wait and our nurses Ellen, Christina, and Amber at Providence for giving us the upmost sensitive care during the most difficult time of our lives.

“So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.” John 16:22 “Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted.” Matthew 5:4
