Lynn Allen Brim

LynnAllen Brim, of Mexia, passed away Dec. 23 in Waco at the age of 69.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 3, in the Word of Life Church in Groesbeck with Pastor Randy Ayres and Pastor John Carabin officiating. Visitation with the family will be prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m.

Lynn was born in Waco May 21, 1954, to Garland Pope and Lucille Mae (Martin) Brim. He married Beverly Burns Sept. 21, 2003, in Groesbeck. He retired with a combined total of 27 years from GATX Railcar in Hearne and Texas Westmoreland Coal Company in Jewett.

Lynn was a member of the Word of Life Church in Groesbeck. His love for the Lord and family was most important in his life. He enjoyed family gatherings. Lynn was especially proud of being a grandfather. There was nothing he enjoyed more than spending time with his grandchildren. They were a very special part of his life. He made every effort to attend his grandsons’ football games and was supportive of any events or activities in which his grandchildren were involved.

Lynn was always active in the church food drives, in addition to other church activities. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting whenever possible.

He was preceded in death by his death by his parents, Garland and Lucille Brim and brothers, Gary and Gaylon Brim.

Lynn is survived by his wife, Beverly Brim; daughter, Katie Nicole Lopez; son, Tommy Allen Brim; grandchildren, Quade, Joshua, and Jace Lopez and Casin Brim; brother, Harry Brim and wife, Carol; sisters, Julia McGrew and husband, George, and Lesley Lingo and husband, Billy; and several nieces and nephews.
