William H. Walker

Services for Dr. William Harold Walker, Captain USMC, retired, 76, of Cape Girardeau, Mo., formerly of Wortham, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola, Fla. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola. A memorial service in Wortham will be held at a later date.

Dr. Walker passed away Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018, in Tyler. He was born May 18, 1942, in Conroe, to Harold E. Walker and Irene Smith Walker.

William was a Captain in the United States Marine Corps. He received his doctorate from Louisiana Tech University.

William was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau, and was active in many service organizations.

William was preceded in death by his parents; wife Dee; son David; and grandson Brandon.

He is survived by his loving family including his brother, Ed, and wife Elaine; daughter Kim; and grandchildren Andrew, Abbie and Cameron.
