Alma Jean Gatlin, 96, passed away Sept. 3, 2020, in Mexia. Funeral services will be 3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 5, at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Shane Norcross and the Rev. Rick Gray officiating. Interment will follow at the Mexia Cemetery. Scott Cotton, Brent Cotton, Gary Cotton, Jimmy Cotton, Terry Cotton and Donnie Carter Jr. will serve as pallbearers.

Gary Lynn Ferguson, of Mexia, passed away on Sept. 2, 2020, in Waco, at the age of 64. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 5, at Blair-Stubbs Chapel, with David Bates and Pastor Jimmy Cotton officiating. Interment will follow in the LaSalle Cemetery. Dustin Ferguson, Brady Ferguson, Brandon Ferguson, T.J. Taylor, Larry Bates, Garrett Ferguson and Dawson Ferguson will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Vest, Chad Jarrell, Jeramy Stone, Jason Stone, Jared Stone and Michael Raines.

William Nathan “Bill” Harrison, 61, of Benbrook, and formally of Mexia passed away on Aug. 25, 2020. He was born on Dec. 5, 1958.
